What will you do?

As a Technical Sales Engineer at Payter, you connect our innovative payment solutions with our clients' needs. You work closely with the sales, product, and integration teams to provide technical advice, answer questions, and guide customers through the process. Your support ensures smooth implementation and satisfied clients.

Your work is diverse: you respond to technical questions, give product demos, and explain how our solutions work. You help prepare offers, provide training, and create clear documentation. You listen carefully to clients’ wishes and advise them on the best solution. You also ensure that all technical details are well coordinated for a smooth rollout. Staying up to date on industry trends and representing Payter at events is also part of your role.

This position combines technology and client interaction. You'll work with smart payment technology used in vending, retail, and EV charging. You get the freedom to organize your work and collaborate with various teams. No day is the same one moment you're presenting to a client, the next you're supporting a technical setup or visiting a project on site. You have a direct impact on client success and Payter’s growth. We value innovation and encourage you to share ideas and take initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main technical contact for clients, offering expert support throughout the sales process.

  • Deliver product demos and translate technical features into clear business value.

  • Understand client needs and recommend the best Payter solutions for seamless integration.

  • Assist the sales team with proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.

  • Provide product training and pre-sales support to clients and partners.

  • Work with integration teams to ensure smooth project implementation.

  • Gather client feedback to support product improvements.

  • Stay informed on payment trends, standards, and new technologies.

  • Represent Payter at events and contribute to business development.

Vereisten

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant experience.

  • Background in technical sales or engineering, ideally in fintech or IoT.

  • Strong technical skills and the ability to simplify complex topics.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Client-focused with problem-solving and business insight.

  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Odoo, Salesforce).

  • Able to work independently and in teams.

  • Willing to travel when needed.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch or Chinese is a plus.
